“All that is gold does not glitter, not all those who wander are lost;

The old that is strong does not wither, deep roots are not reached by the frost. J R R Tolkien

But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by christ Jesus.

"An infinite God can give all of Himself to each of His children. He does not distribute Himself that each may have a part, but to each one He gives all of Himself as fully as if there were no others."

"When you ask God for a gift,
Be thankful if he sends,
Not diamonds, pearls or riches,
but the love of real true friends."

.....Love is by definition the word we use for attractions of a personal nature. The secret of happy homes. Love is not peculiar to man, for we were created in the image of God and He is love, it is the general property of all life and therefore embraces all men. Love is the fountain from which flows every blessing that we enjoy.

A happy home must be seen as a gift from heaven; for God is love. He is the embodiment of love. When the cords of love bind two hearts in one, ever beating in unison, heaven comes down to earth, and where love reigns there are peace and joy, happiness is complete.

The wise man Solomon words find a response in many a heart when he says :-
An excellent wife who can find? She is far more precious than jewels. Proverbs 31:10

Sympathy is a divine gift from above, and none should think that expressing sympathy to those in need will not be rewarded greatly neither should any think that sympathy given is wasted.

When we see others in despair or bowed down in grief should we not be compassionate? The little deeds we do towards others can make such a difference in their life, sometimes it can alter the course of their lives.

Acts of kindness are the special blessings of life, and are recognized in heaven by Him who commanded us to love one another. One aspect of sympathy is that of pity—pity for the distressed or pain stricken, with a desire to alleviate or help them in their sufferings. The world needs more of this divine quality. “For pity makes the world soft to the weak, and noble for the strong.”

Another form of sympathy is that of rejoicing with others, for loving one another means sharing each other's joy, and rejoicing with them when they rejoice.

Sympathy is friendship without such we cannot experience the blessings of God when he reminds us give and it shall be given unto you. We are admonished to be kindly affectionate, forgiving one another even as God has forgiven us. The bond of friendship is a closeness to each other, trusting each other, this allows for the development of interactional skills, which are an important part of our social well being. Friendships are vital to our existence as it helps to buffer us in times of stress and loss.

Let us pray that God will give us insight, day by day and help us to practice goodwill towards all; that we may recognise wisdom as showing kindness to each other. May we through the divine gift that God has extended to all find unbroken gentleness, possess an enduring patience, inspiring  lowliness, and courtesy, may we love as He loved may we show a deep and abounding sympathy towards all in need.

Norman Rockwell
There is a time for everything and a season for every activity, therefore we should spend our days contemplating on what is important to our well being, and finding ways of making it happen. Changes often are unpleasant, but if you are aware they are stepping stones towards achieving your goals, you will not be disappointed.

It was John Quincy Adams who reminds us that "All great changes are irksome to the human mind, especially those which are attended with great dangers and uncertain effects." I do believe, "We cannot alter external things, nor shape other people to our liking, nor mold the world to our wishes but we can alter internal things, our desires, passions and our  thoughts, we can shape our liking to other people, and we can mold the inner world of our own mind in accordance with wisdom; and so reconcile it to the outer world of men and things. The turmoil of the world we cannot avoid, but the disturbances of mind we can overcome." James Allen.

Therefore it behooves us to strive always to overcome life's obstacle, and embrace change. Adopt a right attitude to change, and watch the change you can make, when those difficulties of life claim your attention; rise above all anxiety concerning them. And be at rest; in the midst of strife, uncertainties and calamities you can know the abiding peace of God.

As you go through life always be mindful to the qualities of life to strive for, they are purity, patience, humility, knowledge wisdom compassion, fearlessness and above all exercise love towards all men considering how God through His love died that you can have the abundant and wonderful life.  There is nothing new about change ever since time began change existed, Change is as old as time and as unlikely to disappear. It is the essence of all human experience. All things change, Isaac Asimov puts it well when he said. "It is change, continuing change, inevitable change, that is the dominant factor in society today. No sensible decision can be made any longer without taking into account not only the world as it is, but the world as it will be."

John Waterhouse

Spring Spreads One Green Lap of Flowers

There is a higher standard that all can reach. What do you do with failure? Do you become despondent? Do you give up? Or do you simply just try again?

Failure has the ability to show us our weakness, and our strengths; from your particular failure there is wisdom that is gained that would otherwise not have been. None could have led you to this wisdom but the experience you gained through your failure. Every mistake you make, every fall you encounter, there is a lesson of vital import if you will but look for it. Utilize your failure as precious lessons that will lead you to ultimately succeed.

Windswept John William Waterhouse

O God and Father of mankind
We thank you for life, for you are good.
And it is pleasing in the sight of God our Saviour,
Who desires all people to be saved and to come
To the knowledge of the truth.

We thank thee that thy dear Son
Who gave himself a ransom for all,
Overcame the enemy, and has given
Us the power to be victors.

O God I know that you made us
And we are from God, and the whole
World lies in the power of the evil one
So protect us now we pray.

Restr: Miranda - The Tempest

Our heart is the most wonderful organ that has been given to man, it has the ability to love; a truly rewarding experience. It also has the ability to be broken; therefore we ought to cultivate carefully the soil of our heart.

The Good Samaritan
"Because God has made us for himself our hearts are restless until we rest in him," to have a heart like the master is to be kind one to another, for he laid down his life for all.

To be like Him is to have a pure heart. In the pure heart there is no room for personal judgments or hatreds; for it is filled to overflowing with tenderness and love; If only we could understand that the heart that practice deceit brings sorrow and pain; while the heart of love speaks kind words, for kind words are like a honeycomb, sweetness to the soul and health to the body. Therefore when we exercise kindness, goodness will flow out of our heart.

"The LORD, the LORD, the compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness, maintaining love to thousands, and forgiving wickedness, rebellion and sin.
Exodus 34:6

God is not a man, that He should lie, nor a son of man, that He should change His mind. Does He speak and then not act? Does He promise annot fulfill?
Numbers 23:19

  "O Sovereign LORD, you have begun to show to your servant your greatness and your strong hand. For what god is there in heaven or on earth who can do the deeds and mighty works you do?
Deuteronomy 3:24

"It is love that asks, that seeks, that knocks, that finds, and that is faithful to what it finds."
"What does love look like? It has the hands to help others. It has the feet to hasten to the poor and needy. It has eyes to see misery and want. It has the ears to hear the sighs and sorrows of men. That is what love looks like.!

"The men who have done the most for God in this world have been early on their knees. He who fritters away the early morning, its opportunity and freshness, in other pursuits than seeking God will make poor headway seeking Him the rest of the day. If God is not first in our thoughts and efforts in the morning, He will be in the last place the remainder of the day."
Author: E.M. Bounds

"No man - I don't care how colossal his intellect - No man is greater than his prayer life."
Author: Leonard Ravenhill

"No man is greater than his prayer life. The pastor who is not praying is playing; the people who are not praying are straying. The pulpit can be a shop window to display one's talents; the prayer closet allows no showing off."

We fall in love, then we get married and we are told we live happily ever after. That is what we read when we were young and foolish to believe that happiness is automatic once you are married.

Marriage is a beautiful institution, designed by God for the happiness of the two; however as love is a tender plant it has to be nourished and watered to grow into a strong tree. Happiness, therefore, is the fruit of this beautiful tree can be achieved only as each work to the good of the other.

He was at the lowest point of his life; he could not see where it was all heading. The years just seem to drag on slowly like a snail. Was this a blessing in disguise? He thought of his life and wondered, the point of living was? He had never felt so discouraged. Life seems to be passing him by, some reckon he was doubting Thomas, howbeit a believer, one at the end of his tether.

Have you ever been at that place? Where everyone seems to be having a good time, getting exciting breaks and nothing seems to go right for you? Some will tell you the pressures of life you're experiencing will yield a rich harvest for you; a double portion of blessings in your life.  Often he wondered if he was a soft touch, always bending over backwards for everyone.

Fear has torment, fear is bondage,
Resist it, be of good courage;
Refuse to be afraid,
Fear is a snare.
Fear is the thief of joy
Fear is the thief of time
Fear is the thief of opportunity
Fear is the thief of creativity
Do not be afraid,
Everything is subject to change.
Do not be intimidated by change.
Without change there can be no progress;
Refuse to be afraid,
Resist fear and it will flee.
Perfect love cast out fear.

Often when terrible things happen to us many rush to tell us that it is either the fault of God, or the things we have done, or the lessons we are being taught. However God's word provide many comfort to us all and gives us a glimpse into the heart and mind of God towards his children.

Dear Lord and Father, our God our helper and assistance, you are merciful, good and mighty, who hears our supplications have mercy upon us, deliver me from the trouble that besets me.

Lord I acknowledge and believe that all of this trials of this life are allowed by thee for our chastisement and learning so that we may become better children, for if we be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then we are not legitimate, not true sons and daughters of God.

O Master, Lord, Eternal Father, Holy is your name, You glorious Father who sent your son to be born of a woman to rescue us from the pain and suffering of sin, according to your tender mercies, have mercy upon all mothers whose precious baby have fallen asleep, for Lord we understand your words that though these precious babies have died they are asleep in your eyes, for you are the resurrection and the life and you will restore. You will raise them up at the last day and return them to the arms of their mothers.

Heavenly Father, our God and Creator, who has honored all men with thine own image; who has protected his children and clothed them in their right minds, so that most wise are they who give heed to thy teaching; who reveal wisdom unto babes; who has imparted wisdom to Solomon and unto all who ask for wisdom . O Righteous Lord and Savior, open thou the heart and mind of your children, that they may receive the knowledge and understanding which shall be taught to them, to the glory of your holy name.

Eternal Father, into your loving hands I commend my
 life, and every part of myself, my body, my soul, my thoughts, acts and desires and intentions. To you
O Lord I commend my life, both the beginning
and the end of my life, the day and hour of
everything from henceforth that I desire.

Guardian Angel
Holy Father, Immortal from whom all gentleness and goodness comes. Penitently I pray thee for the children whom thou has given me to bear. Keep them in thy grace and holiness, that thy name may be glorified in them. Direct me by thy grace to raise them towards the glory of thy holy name and the benefit of other people. Grant me the gift of the patience necessary to do so.

Many search for LOVE, seeking in places where it cannot be found. LOVE is not found in lusts and pleasures; these activities only bring forth disease of every type inflicting both body and soul and causing heartache and pain.

We have all been given special command from our Heavenly father to regard the stranger, the outcast the poor and the weak. Many are in heart longing for peace and rest.

While the world is progressing in wickedness, let none of us flatter ourselves that we will have no difficulties. To live for self is to perish. The life in which the fear of the Lord is cherished will not be a life of sadness and gloom. It is the absence of Christ that makes the face sad and the life full of sighs.

My beautiful one, how has time past?
It seems like yesterday since you were born;
You came into our lives and into our hearts;
May God continue to hold you now and always!
We love you.

Henri Rousseau Seine und Eiffelturm in
der Abendsonne 1910
 The way from passion to peace is by overcoming one'self. Frequently the man of passion is eager to put others right; but the man of wisdom first put himself right. If any desire truth in their inner being; they must know wisdom in their inner heart, and only God can make that possible for you, hence it is important that we seek his counsel in all areas of our lives.

Training assist us in renouncing ungodliness, and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright, and godly lives in this present age. In addition to joy, we were gifted with love, peace, long-suffering, gentleness, and self control by the Holy Spirit who admonish us to walk by the Spirit. So knowledge comes when we exercise self-control, and self-control with steadfastness, and steadfastness with godliness.

Our life is what we make it, by our own thoughts and actions. Our life can be a sweet savour of life unto life; or we can make it as bitter as gall. All this as a result of our choices we make each day. We can only attain to the measure we aspire to. We can sing praises to the Lord while we have our being; or we can do wickedly and rob ourselves of the joy of living.

For some to have a  lady propose to a man would be considered outrageous, and unacceptable; however in more recent times it has become normal for a lady if she is in love and has been dating for a long time to make the first move.

Only one weapon of attack; but it is good. The sword of the Spirit , which is the word of God. It subdues and mortifies evil desires, and blasphemous thoughts as they rise within. It answers unbelief and error as they assault from without. A single text well understood and rightly applied, at once destroys a temptation or an objection, and subdues the most formidable adversary.

Giovanni Boldini
"It hurts to love someone and not be loved in return, but what is more painful is to love someone and never find the courage to let that person know how you feel."

God's love is infinite, everlasting, unconditional, He loved us and revealed his love to us through his son Jesus. He expressed his love for us by dying for us; He had the courage to reveal this wonderful love to us; and was mocked, betrayed and died because of his marvellous love for us.

"A careless word may kindle strife. A cruel word may wreck a life. A timely word may level stress. But a loving word heals and bless."

"The future has several names for the weak it is impossible, for the faint- hearted it is unknown; but for the valiant it is ideal."

I am thankful for trials like the oceans.
I am grateful for every victory won.
For enduring faith and clarity,
For I was appointed from eternity;
Before the world began,
When he marked out the horizon;
He established the world thereof,
Showering us with his love from above.

The Christian's work is a high calling, God sent His only son into our world to die for us and we have been given the great commission... go into all the world and preach the gospel. The gospel is God's love for man, it is His plan for our lives not just for time but throughout eternity. God's goodness requires serious and earnest endeavours. We should aim at glorifying God at all times.

As you grow to years of maturity you owe it to yourself to take the best care of your health. We define menopause as time of the end of a woman's monthly menstrual periods. This occurs in women in midlife, during their late 40's and early 50's signalling the end of the fertile phase of a woman's life.

Many imagine themselves to be in love especially the young, when in truth they are not! They trust altogether too much to impulse. To trifle with hearts is wrong in the sight of a holy God. Often their supposed passion is just a fancy for the moment. An eager young man is introduced to a pretty or interesting young lady he should not give himself away too easily, nor be captivated too readily by the attractive exterior of the other.

We know the dangers and indecision that beset us in this present time are not few or small.  We live in an age when to resist the wrong calls for everything. It calls for vigilance it calls for divine help.  In your entire situation you should ever keep in mind that you can be victorious, never give up on yourself, strive towards your goal, and let none tell you, you cannot achieve it. With faith and humble hearts, seek the Lord for wisdom to find out His way, and how you can gain the necessary strength to walk in it.

A close look at society today shows that all is not well. The world is in turmoil, everywhere men’s heart are failing them for fear.  All may receive fullness of joy if we but seek to know the will of God and do them. Is there a solution for all these problems?  I certainly know there is. What about you, do you think there is a solution to all these problems?

The body and the mind are so closely attached that when one is affected, it also affect the  other. It is therefore important that we take care of the mind as it affects the health to a far greater degree than we realize.

Medical proof has shown that the risks of many of the diseases from which we suffer are the result of mental depression. Grief, anxiety, discontent, remorse, guilt, distrust, all tend to break down the quality of life.

Love and marriage are two of the most wonderful things still present in our miserable world. Many have tried love without marriage and some have even tried marriage without love, however between these two extremes there can be a happy medium. Love and marriage; though the former have worked we need both the love and the marriage ingredient to bring that happy factor into the union.
