DEEDS

While the world is progressing in wickedness, let none of us flatter ourselves that we will have no difficulties. To live for self is to perish. The life in which the fear of the Lord is cherished will not be a life of sadness and gloom. It is the absence of Christ that makes the face sad and the life full of sighs.

We should not be afraid of difficulties, because it is difficulties that bring us into the presence of the Most High; it causes us to seek counsel of He who is infinite in wisdom. As we endeavor to put self out of sight, we are enabled to exalt God. "For thus saith the high and lofty One, whose name is holy; I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also that is of a contrite and holy and humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones."

We are all responsible for our actions whether they be good or bad. However all have a free will to modify their behavior, and every time that this occurs whether for good or evil we are predetermining our destiny one that is beneficial or one that is disastrous. We ought to be very careful of our daily activities; as these become habits, which are acts repeated so often it becomes automatic or unconscious, and we repeat them without any effort on our part, and then becomes difficult not to do.

Let us not forget that we are all children of the Heavenly Father and he has given us the will power to overcome all obstacles. So may we see our world, and all it contains as the manifestation of God's love for us. May we see his love sustaining and protecting us, through the love of God we understand that love is not merely a rule of life but life itself. Knowing this let us order our lives in accordance to his will, through obedience. God's love is perfect, it is pure, So may we do no act, or think no thought that is not pleasing to Him.
