PRAYER FOR MOTHERS AFTER STILLBIRTH OR MISCARRIAGE

O Master, Lord, Eternal Father, Holy is your name, You glorious Father who sent your son to be born of a woman to rescue us from the pain and suffering of sin, according to your tender mercies, have mercy upon all mothers whose precious baby have fallen asleep, for Lord we understand your words that though these precious babies have died they are asleep in your eyes, for you are the resurrection and the life and you will restore. You will raise them up at the last day and return them to the arms of their mothers.

O Lord as your handmaid we know that our strength does not come from within but from the Lord; reassure her that the name of the Lord is a strong tower, all who run to you are safe. The life that was conceived within her, was precious also to you, that you are available to give her the power she needs to overcome all things. Preserve her from every snare of the devil. Cleanse her and heal her from discouragement because you are with her wherever she goes. Because you alone are God; teach her to wait upon you, trusting you with her heart because you are a mighty God, a very present help in trouble.

Grant health, healing and godly strength to her body and soul, O Lord lover of all mankind, keep her from every attack of the invisible demons. Yes, O Lord from infirmity and weakness. Cleanse her of bodily defilement and from the various disorders of the womb which afflict her, by your great mercy restore her in her body, and raise her up from the bed of sorrow, disappointments, discouragement, pain and grief. As she cries out to you Lord, come divinely near and comfort her, forgive your handmaid (name).

According to your great mercy, because you are a good God who loves us, have mercy and bring healing. Today I claim your promise that those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wing like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not faint. Teach her to love you with all her heart, mind and soul, to rely upon you, to delight in weakness, in insults, in hardships, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then am I strong, because your grace is sufficient for her. Unto you O God is due honor and glory praise and worship, now and ever, and unto the ages and ages. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.
