Prayer allows us to take heed to our ways so that we sin not with our tongues. It allows God to help us to become overcomers.
Prayer gives us control of our tongue so that we can keep our tongue like a bridle while the tempter is before us.
Through prayer God makes us to know our end; the measure of our days, so that we can understandhow frail we are.
God works through us when we pray and deliver us from our transgression: thereby we are not disappointed by our enemies.
Prayer softens our heart and allow us to be chasten of the Lord. God only chasten those he loves.
Prayer is the avenue whereby we wait upon God, while He listens and satisfy us with the bounties from his treasury.
God wants us through prayer to come to Him in humility and acknowledge our faults, forsake them and submit to His Lordship; prayer gives us access to His presence and cause us to behold his beauty.
Do not be anxious about anything, God will do abundantly, exceedingly above all we can think or imagine. Have faith in Him, He will deliver you from all your trouble.
