O God and Father of mankind
We thank you for life, for you are good.
And it is pleasing in the sight of God our Saviour,
Who desires all people to be saved and to come
To the knowledge of the truth.
We thank thee that thy dear Son
Who gave himself a ransom for all,
Overcame the enemy, and has given
Us the power to be victors.
O God I know that you made us
And we are from God, and the whole
World lies in the power of the evil one
The evil one has blinded the minds of the unbeliever,
To keep them from seeing the light of the gospel
Of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.
So hear our prayers O Lord and defend us.
For you O Lord has made known his salvation;
You have revealed the righteousness of Christ
In the sight of the nations. We remember your
Steadfast love and faithfulness to us.
All the earth have seen the salvation of our God.
Heavenly Father, may your way be known on earth,
Your saving power among all nations.
Let the people praise you, O God;
Let all the people praise you!
Let the nations be glad and sing for joy,
For you judge the peoples with equity
And guide the nations upon earth.
Therefore we fear not, for you are with us.
You will bring our offspring from the east
And from the west, you will gather us.
And say to the north, Give up, and to the South,
Do not withhold; bring my sons from afar.
O God even our daughters you will bring
From the end of the earth,
Because the kingdom of this world will soon
become the kingdom of our Lord and of his Christ
And you shall reign forever and ever.
Thank you Lord for your precious love
Through your death I celebrate life
And your ascension gives me hope.
