 The way from passion to peace is by overcoming one'self. Frequently the man of passion is eager to put others right; but the man of wisdom first put himself right. If any desire truth in their inner being; they must know wisdom in their inner heart, and only God can make that possible for you, hence it is important that we seek his counsel in all areas of our lives.

Those who sincerely endeavor to do their duty shall be taught their duty; but they will expect good only from Divine grace overcoming their corrupt nature. It is the Lord that gives skilfull wisdom; from his mouth comes knowledge and understanding. (Psalm 2:6)

Wisdom belongs to the aged, and understanding to the old. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and to depart from evil is understanding. Therefore the godly offer counsel; they teach right from wrong. Whosoever is wise, let him heed these things and consider the great love of the Lord.
