The word depression means severe, typically prolonged, feelings of despondency, and dejection. Literally to be "pressed" down. Often we allow self-doubt to creep in and this swiftly turns to depression. In the word of God we see Saul depressed because he felt rejected.

As the two persons become acquainted; they are infatuated with each other, and their whole attention is absorbed. Reason can somewhat be blinded, it is, therefore, important that you give diligence to these things.

A LETTER FROM GOD TO WOMEN

When I created the heavens and the earth, I spoke them into being. When I created man, I formed him and breathed life into his nostrils.

But you, woman, I fashioned after I breathed the breath of life into man because your nostrils are too delicate. I allowed a deep sleep to come over him so I could patiently and perfectly fashion you. Man was put to sleep so that he could not interfere with the creativity.

From one bone, I fashioned you. I chose the bone that protects man's life. I chose the rib, which protects his heart and lungs and supports him, as you are meant to do. Around this one bone, I shaped you.... I modeled you. I created you perfectly and beautifully. Your characteristics are as the rib, strong yet delicate and fragile. You provide protection for the most delicate organ in man, his heart. His heart is the center of his being; his lungs hold the breath of life. The rib cage will allow itself to be broken before it will allow damage to the heart. Support man as the rib cage supports the body.

THE EMPTY EGG

 Jeremiah was born with a twisted body and a slow mind. At the age of 12 he was still in second grade, seemingly unable to learn. His teacher, Doris Miller, often became exasperated with him. He would squirm in his seaat, drool, and make grunting noises. At other times, he spoke clearly and distinctly, as if a spot of light had penetrated the darkness of his brain. Most of the time, however  Jeremy just irritated his teacher.

My dear Son, 

I am writing a few things I wish to say to you, the first day I behold your beautiful smile I thank God for you. You will always be my treasured gift! My beautiful jewel, priceless! Today you are a bundle of joy, but tomorrow you will be a handsome nobleman.

I pray that God will grant you strength and wisdom, and guide your young feet in the way they should go. Satisfy you with good health and long life, so that you may never be disappointed, or become discouraged when the task of life becomes too much to bear.
