DIARY OF CREATION

Glimpses of God's intelligent design as He spoke the world into existence; "By the word of the Lord the heavens and the earth were created." Psalm 33:6,9. He laid the foundations of the earth, that it should not be removed forever, so all the host of them by the breath of his mouth came forth. Here we see creation design in action, step by step; the awesome greatness of a creator God.

WHAT IS IN MY DRINK?

Glasses of wine

Anything that has the potential to harm my health I will avoid. I wonder how many of us can safely say this, and really mean it?  The habit of social drinking has become the norm for many; as a result we see the effects of its misuse.

RAISING HAPPY CHILDREN

Watts marie fox 1854 by George Frederic Watts
The home is the first school of the child. The education of each child should begin here; parents should teach their children to be kind as well as patient. Teach them to be thoughtful of others. Make your home to be a school where the children are shaped in character polished after the likeness of a palace.

WHERE DO I BEGIN?

We are told to begin well, for mistakes are often fatal! To begin well is to start at the right place. Where is the right place? Many will ask the question; however we were all created with a conscience, which tells us when we are doing something that will hurt us. We know that it is wrong to hate others, we know we should not steal, we know that it is right to be respectful to others and so as we look in to the requirements of the Law of God we find some basic principles which if rightly followed can provide a compass for our journey through this life.

WISDOM: TRUE GREATNESS/LEST WE FORGET

There are periods in our existence when there comes a time for the need of affirmation. Wisdom therefore should be sought at all times. True greatness is seen in those who possess this quality. Consequently it is important for us  during these Interludes of our lives when we have to brighten the corners where we are. Ah! forget the attitudes of others, and focus on your condition. For as the clay is moulded and fashioned in the hands of the potter; so should your life be transformed in spite of the clutter of life’s situation.

SOBRIETY - THE MIND

Bear in mind that the mind is the citadel of the man; however many folks wrestle with the idea that man was not created but that he evolved, the more I investigate this view the more I doubt the truth of it. &nbsp It is evident that the construction of the human body, especially your mind, could not have come about as a result of a bang, but by an intelligent designer.

The mere design of the human body tells a story; the average human scalp has about 100,000 hairs, each square inch of the human skin consist of twenty feet of blood vessels, every tongue has a unique tongue print, everyone a unique finger print, the left lung is smaller than the right lung to make room for the heart; even the way we treat the body, to the extent that a person will sooner die from total lack of sleep than from starvation. Death will occur 10 days without sleep while starvation takes a few weeks. To devote one’s life to the study of this human machinery would take the work of a life time and so when you look at this unique creation you see that nothing can evolve and work with such careful precision.

WOULDN'T IT BE LOVELY...

Sunset -girl gazing
Human life, when embraced fully, is simple and truly beautiful. "Lovely" refers to something that stirs love and possesses a beauty that touches both the heart and the eye. As we journey through each day, may we nurture our character and continuously open our hearts to both give and receive love.

Human life, when embraced with authenticity and mindfulness, is surprisingly simple and undeniably beautiful. The essence of life lies not in complexity, but in the richness of our experiences and the connections we cultivate. To live fully is to find joy in the simplest of moments, to be present, and to be attuned to the beauty around us. When we talk about something being "lovely," we refer to more than just surface beauty; it’s a quality that stirs deep emotions, that captivates both the heart and the eye. It's the ability to inspire love, to evoke warmth, and to draw us closer to what is pure and good.

As we navigate each day, let us be mindful of the opportunity we have to shape ourselves—to refine our character, grow our wisdom, and strengthen the core of who we are. Each new day is a chance to evolve into a more compassionate, patient, and loving version of ourselves. By doing so, we allow our hearts to stay open—not only to the love others offer us but also to the love we are capable of giving. In this way, we create lives filled with genuine connection, mutual understanding, and shared beauty. It’s not about striving for perfection, but about embracing the full range of human experiences with grace, kindness, and an openness to love.
