OUT OF THE HEART

We are told from the word of God "Out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks."  Luke 6:45  "The good person out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth what is good; and the evil person out of the evil treasure brings forth what is evil; for his mouth speaks from that which fills his heart."

Words matter, and it is important we carefully select our words when addressing others. Our words have the power to bring happiness or sadness to another. It is very easy to tell the character of anyone by his/her conversations. one-reason-to-nurture-your-heart.

DIVINE GIFT

Sympathy is a divine gift from above, and none should think that expressing sympathy to those in need will not be rewarded greatly neither should any think that sympathy given is wasted.

When we see others in despair or bowed down in grief should we not be compassionate? The little deeds we do towards others can make such a difference in their life, sometimes it can alter the course of their lives.

Acts of kindness are the special blessings of life, and are recognized in heaven by Him who commanded us to love one another. One aspect of sympathy is that of pity—pity for the distressed or pain stricken, with a desire to alleviate or help them in their sufferings. The world needs more of this divine quality. “For pity makes the world soft to the weak, and noble for the strong.”

Another form of sympathy is that of rejoicing with others, for loving one another means sharing each other's joy, and rejoicing with them when they rejoice.

Sympathy is friendship without such we cannot experience the blessings of God when he reminds us give and it shall be given unto you. We are admonished to be kindly affectionate, forgiving one another even as God has forgiven us. The bond of friendship is a closeness to each other, trusting each other, this allows for the development of interactional skills, which are an important part of our social well being. Friendships are vital to our existence as it helps to buffer us in times of stress and loss.

Let us pray that God will give us insight, day by day and help us to practice goodwill towards all; that we may recognise wisdom as showing kindness to each other. May we through the divine gift that God has extended to all find unbroken gentleness, possess an enduring patience, inspiring  lowliness, and courtesy, may we love as He loved may we show a deep and abounding sympathy towards all in need.

CHANGES

Norman Rockwell
There is a time for everything and a season for every activity, therefore we should spend our days contemplating on what is important to our well being, and finding ways of making it happen. Changes often are unpleasant, but if you are aware they are stepping stones towards achieving your goals, you will not be disappointed.

It was John Quincy Adams who reminds us that "All great changes are irksome to the human mind, especially those which are attended with great dangers and uncertain effects." I do believe, "We cannot alter external things, nor shape other people to our liking, nor mold the world to our wishes but we can alter internal things, our desires, passions and our  thoughts, we can shape our liking to other people, and we can mold the inner world of our own mind in accordance with wisdom; and so reconcile it to the outer world of men and things. The turmoil of the world we cannot avoid, but the disturbances of mind we can overcome." James Allen.

Therefore it behooves us to strive always to overcome life's obstacle, and embrace change. Adopt a right attitude to change, and watch the change you can make, when those difficulties of life claim your attention; rise above all anxiety concerning them. And be at rest; in the midst of strife, uncertainties and calamities you can know the abiding peace of God.

As you go through life always be mindful to the qualities of life to strive for, they are purity, patience, humility, knowledge wisdom compassion, fearlessness and above all exercise love towards all men considering how God through His love died that you can have the abundant and wonderful life.  There is nothing new about change ever since time began change existed, Change is as old as time and as unlikely to disappear. It is the essence of all human experience. All things change, Isaac Asimov puts it well when he said. "It is change, continuing change, inevitable change, that is the dominant factor in society today. No sensible decision can be made any longer without taking into account not only the world as it is, but the world as it will be."

THE PARADOX OF TIME

Time
Time – I say this—and know it to be true.  Upon this little word, time hang all our joys and sorrows. Our reality, our circumstances, glooms or gladness, this is our portion the glorious light of truth.

Time you have the power to make or mar our life; the sting of death no one can deny; the agony of losing a loved one none can describe. Yet while hope lingers you procrastinate. When the grey hairs become many, the desires no longer stirred, while we become invisible and some go to their eternal home the cycle of life continues.
