LETTER TO MY SON

My dear Son, 

I am writing a few things I wish to say to you, the first day I behold your beautiful smile I thank God for you. You will always be my treasured gift! My beautiful jewel, priceless! Today you are a bundle of joy, but tomorrow you will be a handsome nobleman.

I pray that God will grant you strength and wisdom, and guide your young feet in the way they should go. Satisfy you with good health and long life, so that you may never be disappointed, or become discouraged when the task of life becomes too much to bear.

There is a higher standard that all can reach. What do you do with failure? Do you become despondent? Do you give up? Or do you simply just try again? 

Failure has the ability to show us our weakness, and our strengths; from your particular failure there is wisdom that is gained that would otherwise not have been. None could have led you to this wisdom but the experience you gained through your failure. Every mistake you make, every fall you encounter, there is a lesson of vital import if you will but look for it. Utilize your failure as precious lessons that will lead you to ultimately succeed.

TREASURY OF THOUGHTS

The older we become the more easily it is to see that our thoughts does affect our behaviour. For our thought is a reflection of who we are, which is then expressed by our attitude to each other. The way we respond to the various challenges that life throws our way will determine the quality of life we enjoy. It is therefore important that we cherish no idle or unpleasant thought as this will impact on our relationship with others as well as our happiness, success or failure.
