Ways we can begin to confront the ugly face of racism, the notion that one race is superior to the other. Let us talk, only when we are prepared to listen to each other can we come to a resolution. It is never too late to talk, let us talk to each other not at each other, and begin to listen with our hearts.
All Men Are Equal. It was God who said, through his prophet Moses, in the beginning
He created the heavens and the earth. He also said let us make the man. So, we can safely say we are all one blood,
regardless of our color. So why do we hate each other? Until we come to the truth that God has created us and we are all his, then we will be on our way to stop Racism from destroying relationships.
Be Empathetic. I would like to suggest to all, as I consider the points
being made on both sides. We all matter, Lives matter, black lives matter… all
lives matter, it seems we are saying the same thing, only one is saying be
kinder to me as my life is endangered if I am being continuously mistreated.
Life Is Sacred and we should respect others. Recognize that
it is our responsibility to love each other and seek to promote the good of the
other. We all belong to the human race because all
men are equal in creation and redemption.
Principles To Govern Us. Let us now begin the dialogue by asking how we can begin to
implement principles to guide us in racial equality. How can I respect others and
stop disfranchising the black man? After looking at a number of videos circulating,
we can see the frustration which is not uncommon for anyone who finds themselves
being targeted, or having to justify why and where they are going, and even unable
to secure adequate jobs to take care of their families.
Walk The Talk. We need to walk a mile in the other man shoe and start to empathize
and feel their pain, let us not turn and look the other way, or seek to avoid
our moral obligation to resist the evil confronting us today by ensuring reform
that will extend justice for all people. Then and only then can we find healing
for ourselves our family and our nation.
