The Importance of Wisdom

Many search for wisdom, some through their experiences, others through books some through the lives of others, but what does the word of God tells us about wisdom.

Let us examine God's will as it relates to wisdom and strive to accomplish this in our life.

In the book of Proverbs we are told that if we accept the words of the Lord and store up all his commands within us, and apply it to our lives, crying out to Him for understanding, looking for it as for silver, searching for it as for hidden treasure, then we will understand the fear of the Lord and find the knowledge of God which is true wisdom. {Proverbs 2}

To fear the Lord is understanding which is the beginning of wisdom. Perceiving the words of understanding, and receiving instruction in justice, discretion and learning all of which contributes to wisdom. {Proverbs 2}

Wisdom also becomes a protection to those who seek it. It saves us from the ways of wicked men, because it instruct us on how to walk, allowing us to make wise choices in those whom we associate with.  This includes people who delight in doing wrong and rejoices in the perverseness of evil, those whose path are crooked and who are devious in their ways. {Proverbs 2}

BRINGING HOPE TO THE HOPELESS

Hope for the hopeless can be found in the Word of the Lord. Knowing that there is a better day coming helps us to overcome the setbacks life throws us. The disappointment that comes our way is bearable because we know that God is able. 

Through faith, we can do the impossible because it moves God to do for us, what we cannot do for ourselves. It also helps us to see that nothing is impossible with God. Many have not, because they ask not! Some receive not because of doubt in the ability of the Great I am. We should strive always to banish doubt from the heart so that whatever we ask of God can surely come to pass. Because faith is the only key that can unlock heavens storehouse.

BLESSINGS IN DISGUISE

He was at the lowest point of his life; he could not see where it was all heading. The years just seem to drag on slowly like a snail. Was this a blessing in disguise? He thought of his life and wondered, the point of living was? He had never felt so discouraged. Life seems to be passing him by, some reckon he was doubting Thomas, howbeit a believer, one at the end of his tether.

Have you ever been at that place? Where everyone seems to be having a good time, getting exciting breaks and nothing seems to go right for you? Some will tell you the pressures of life you're experiencing will yield a rich harvest for you; a double portion of blessings in your life.  Often he wondered if he was a soft touch, always bending over backwards for everyone.
