OUT OF THE HEART

The Good Samaritan
"Because God has made us for himself our hearts are restless until we rest in him," to have a heart like the master is to be kind one to another, for he laid down his life for all.

To be like Him is to have a pure heart. In the pure heart there is no room for personal judgments or hatreds; for it is filled to overflowing with tenderness and love; If only we could understand that the heart that practice deceit brings sorrow and pain; while the heart of love speaks kind words, for kind words are like a honeycomb, sweetness to the soul and health to the body. Therefore when we exercise kindness, goodness will flow out of our hearts.

Furthermore, it is easy for us to enjoy sweet communion with others as we are taught that no corrupt conversation should escape our lips.
The Ministry of Encouragement
Let us spend our days encouraging others as this will make others happy and in return, happiness will come right back to us. The ministry of speaking kind words cannot be underestimated; develop a lifestyle for serving others through kind words and you will come into the blessings of God, for it is He who reminds us that a word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in a setting of silver. To make an apt answer is a joy to a man, and a word in season, how good it is!

The Results of Kind Words
Happiness is one of the attributes of the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked. The man who meditates on the precious word of God is like a tree planted by streams of water that yields its fruit in its season, and its leaf does not wither. In everything he does, he prospers. Death and life are in the power of the tongue, therefore we become blessed of God as we bless others through speaking kind words.

Out Of The Heart
We are known and read of all men by our words, so we should realize that out of the abundance of our hearts, we speak; it is true that what comes out of the mouth proceeds from the heart; this is what makes us who we are, not the fancy clothes we wear, or the eloquence of our speech, but the promises we make and not keep, the way we address those whom we think are not like us; or our behavior towards those whom we are in authority over.

A Sword Thrust
Out of the loving heart comes joy and happiness; but the heart will tomorrow reap its barren harvest. May we meditate each day how to fortify the mind, by pure thoughts we can achieve this. Let us use this little member, our tongue to bring healing to others, remembering that the tongue of the wise brings healing. Life is fragile, to be handled with care, especially the lives of those who love and care for us; when we speak rash words to them, they are like daggers to their heart, they are like a sword thrusts, and these hurtful words can never be recalled. Sometimes they linger for a lifetime.

Engage daily in holy meditation. Let your prayer be we "become at all times, both now and forever, a protector for those without protection, a guide for those who have lost their way, a ship for those with oceans to cross, a bridge for those with rivers to cross, a sanctuary for those in danger, a lamp for those without light, a place of refuge for those who lack shelter and a servant to all in need." This can only be achieved when we clothe our lips with the garment of kindness, then all will find solace in our company and enjoy what it is to have a beautiful heart.
